Importance for Salmon
- This project will provide refuge from high flows for juvenile salmonids in the Lower Green River, increasing the rates of survival in this part of the watershed
- The side channel will provide rearing habitat for young salmon where they can feed and take shelter throughout the year
- This project will create substitute habitat for the side channels, oxbows, and wetlands that historically occupied the valley floor (Adobe Acrobat 1.5 MB)
