Project Description
- Located in the Middle Green River Subwatershed
- Project involves acquisition of up to 110 acres of habitat along the Middle Green River and Lower Newaukum Creek
Partners and Funding
- Led by King County with the support of the WRIA 9 Forum
- $1,190,000 funded by SRFB (third round), $76,975 from the King Conservation District, and $102,025 from King County and regional funds

Importance for Salmon
- This area is used for spawning and rearing by threatened Chinook salmon
- Adjacent to large tracts of publicly-owned open space
- Supports future projects carried out through the Green/Duwamish Ecosystem Restoration Project
