Project Description
- Located in the Lower Green River Subwatershed
- Project is project LG-9 in the 2005 Salmon Habitat Plan (page 7-65)
- In 2008, several parcels on the left bank of the Green River just downstream of SR516 were purchased by the City of Kent
Partners and Funding
- Led by City of Kent with the support of King County and the King County Flood Control Zone District
- $975,085 funded by SRFB (fourth round), $25,000 funded by King County, and $25,000 funded by King County Flood Control Zone District

Importance for
Salmon
- This area is used as a migration corridor by threatened Chinook salmon
- Purchase preserves future opportunities to restore properly functioning salmonid habitat in the Lower Green River Subwatershed
- Restoration at this site will increase habitat connectivity among current and future habitat restoration sites within this subwatershed
